Day 1: Tunis Zaghouan
At 10:00 am, you will be picked up in Tunis and transferred directly to Zaghouan. Your day begins at Dar Zaghouan, where nature, culture, and authentic Tunisian traditions come together in a unique immersive experience. Start with a relaxing guided walk around the farm, led by a local expert who will share insights into the region’s history, landscapes, and cultural heritage. Depending on the season, you will then take part in a hands‑on workshop, which may include: a traditional distillation demonstration, a Kaak El Warka pastry‑making session or a Tabouna bread baking experience in a traditional clay oven.
Your visit continues with a rich and flavorful Tunisian lunch, prepared using fresh ingredients sourced from the farm and the surrounding area. After lunch, head out to explore the Temple des Eaux de Zaghouan (Water Temple), an impressive Roman monument that once supplied water to ancient Carthage. Day 2: Zaghouan – Zriba Aliya – Sidi Jedidi – Tunis
After breakfast in Zaghouan, depart for Zriba Olia (Zriba Aliya), a charming hilltop village known for its stone-built houses and magnificent panoramic views. Enjoy a walking tour through its narrow winding paths as you explore the history, traditions, and unique architecture of this ancient settlement. Continue onward to Sidi Jedidi, a peaceful rural area surrounded by fertile agricultural landscapes. Here, you will visit Douar Laroussi, where you’ll gain insight into traditional farming techniques and discover the richness of local produce. Lunch will be served on-site, an authentic traditional meal prepared with fresh local ingredients and enjoyed in a warm, rustic rural setting.
In the afternoon, return to Tunis, arriving at approximately 3:00 pm.
